Access to Research Facilities
Ireland has national guidelines in place around access by researchers to research infrastructures hosted by higher education institutions (HEIs) or other research bodies in Ireland. Developed and published by the Higher Education Authority, these guidelines are available for download.
The HEA also maintains a database of significant publicly-funded research infrastructure and equipment known as LIRE (Large Items of Research Equipment) database that contains research equipment items with a value of at least €100,000. The database is currently being updated and will be available from the HEA shortly.
