The KTI Impact Awards 2022 will take place on 1st December 2022 and will be presented across four categories:
- The Commercialisation Impact Award recognises knowledge transfer success that has arisen through licensing to an existing company OR through the creation of a spin-out company from an Irish publicly funded research organisation (RPO). An application showcasing particular success from either licensing or spin-out during the time period 1st January 2021 - 31st July 2022 may be submitted under this award category.
- The Engagement Impact Award recognises and celebrates knowledge transfer success arising from Irish publicly-funded research performing organisation (RPOs) and companies working together. In this category, applications showcasing particular success from either Collaborative Research or Research Consultancy during the time period 1st January 2021 - 31st July 2022 may be submitted.
- The Future Forward Impact Award recognises the fact that in some cases there may be the promise of impact, but the impact may take a little longer to prove. Submissions in this category may cover any one of the channels of spin-out company creation, collaborative research, licensing or research consultancy and there must have been a significant event during the timeframe 1st January 2021 - 31st July 2022.
- The People's Choice Impact Award is selected by audience vote on the evening of the Impact Awards ceremony from the finalists shortlisted across each of the above categories.
