Submissions for the 2021 Impact Awards are now closed.
1. Commercialisation Impact Award 2021
The Commercialisation Impact Award recognises knowledge transfer success that has arisen through licensing to an existing company or the creation of a spin-out company from an Irish publicly funded research organisation (RPO). An application showcasing particular success from either licensing or spin-out during the time period 1st January 2020 - 31st July 2021 may be submitted under this category.
2. Engagement Impact Award 2021
The Industry Engagement Impact Award recognises and celebrates knowledge transfer success when Irish publicly-funded research performing organisation (RPOs) and companies work together. In this category, applications showcasing particular success from either Collaborative Research or Consultancy during the time period 1st January 2020 - 31st July 2021 may be submitted under this category.
3. Future Forward Impact Award 2021
The KTI Future Forward Impact Award recognises the fact that in some cases there may be the promise of impact, but the impact may take a little longer to prove. By way of example (this is not a definitive list) a company collaborator may have taken IP and know-how in house and is developing a new product/service but this is not yet launched; a spin-out may have achieved successful external funding with expected high growth; a licensee may have achieved a regulatory approval milestone etc during the time period 1st January - 31st July 2021.
4. People's Choice Impact Award 2021
The People's Choice award will be chosen by those attending the award ceremony in November. Guests will be given the opportunity to vote for the shortlisted submission from the above three categories that they would like to see recognised.
